Patricia Gruenberg

Patricia is a German lawyer practising (international) commercial law in the Netherlands. She is a German attorney (admitted with the Munich Bar Association) and registered as a European lawyer with the Dutch Bar Association. She has been practising in the Netherlands for the last three years. Patricia’s knowledge of both Dutch law and German law puts her in a unique position to assist international clients with Dutch and German legal matters.

Patricia is a member of Blenheim’s International Team, comprising foreign associates admitted in Germany, South Africa and Australia.

AREAS OF PRACTICE

Patricia advises on and drafts international commercial contracts, works on domestic and cross-border corporate transactions and advises on and represents clients in international commercial arbitration.

Track Record

Patricia is a graduate of the prestigious University of Passau and qualified after completing a legal clerkship at the Munich Superior State Court (Oberlandesgericht).

Notable matters include: 

• Assisting a German client with the expansion of its manufacturing business into the Netherlands by way of the acquisition of a Dutch competitor in a Dutch law governed share purchase transaction
• Assisting a German start-up in the in the area of customer data management with the incorporation of a Dutch entity to support the roll-out of their business in the Netherlands
• Advising a German investor in relation to its rights as a shareholder in a Dutch legal fintech company in the context of the acquisition of that company by an international litigation funding conglomerate
• Assisting a German client with the drafting and negotiation of a € 2.5 million Dutch law/CISG-governed contract for the sale of a horse 
• Advising a Dutch investor in relation to its rights in the context of its divestment from a German real estate trust 
• Advising and representing a group of Dutch real estate investors in Germany 
• Advising a German supplier of car accessories on a dispute in the context of the termination of the distribution agreement with their Dutch distributor
